ArchiCAD Help

ArchiCAD has a number of very useful help aids available to both learn and to become more familiar with its tools, menus, and everyday operation. These are available as both “online” and “offline“.

Context-Sensitive Help (Offline Browsing)

ArchiCAD is equipped with a context-sensitive Help system. To launch the Help:

Right-click on any particular ArchiCAD user interface element and choose the ‘Help’ command. The Help will open to a topic relevant to the ArchiCAD interface item you have clicked. This will launch your Internet Browser which will display the relevant topic in offline browsing mode. Users can perform offline browsing, where pages can be browsed using local copies of those pages without having to be connected to the internet. These would have been copied to your computer when installing ArchiCAD.

ArchiCAD YouTube Channel (Online media browsing)

Graphisoft provides the application ArchiCAD YouTube Channel.

This is a highly recommended (often overlooked) means to learn all aspects of ArchiCAD. It caters for from beginner to expert levels. It is designed in such a way that its window will always be in front. One can resize it although it is highly recommend to invest in a second monitor to be able to watch it on one screen and then to pause and follow the instructions on the main monitor. It allows the user to watch the videos at ones own pace, and to pause/ play/ rewind etc.
